I don't know if this is even feasible, but to add some variation/strategy, perhaps a certain breed/type of zombie ought to drop (or explode/splatter!) toxic goo. Ideally, this would be a puddle underlying the dead zombie "bleeding out" animation that remains much like a normal body would be replaced by a puddle of blood that eventually disappears.

Baring this, an invisible goo puddle spawned on death that remains so long as the "blood stain" item remains.

Why? well, for one, especially if it was obvious which zombies were likely to blow, it would add an extra element of strategy to the game. I could cap that puss-bucket now, but it might block my exit, or endanger my team-mate nearby. Maybe I should just crip his leg and save him for later. Also, yet another danger to fear at night. not quiet as deadly as a landmine, but certainly worth avoiding.

Additionally, if you have different species/types of zombies (I'd assume from your multiple animations), they might as well be distinct threats.

thoughts?

It's a good idea, not sure if the toxic goo should stay longer than 20-30 seconds though. If you kill a zombie and it blocks your exit, you don't want to be blocked for days  It could use the green liquid scenery that is pretty common in Fallout. Also, instead of being spawned on death of a certain zombie breed, it could have a certain % chance to spawn on death of every zombie!

Good idea, Rosmy!
