Development update: Early 2013
Hey there! It's been quite a long time since our last update, and we apologize. Making this game is indeed taking more time than I thought it would, and with the years our motivation and our free time has varied numerous times. However, what is done is done, and every step forward brings us closer to the release - in other words, we're slow, but not stopped.
Now this piece of news is there to tell you that yes, we're still working on Surface Dwellers and we still truly believe in this game's potential. Dear readers, don't worry. We are still alive! More alive than ever, actually, since our developer team got a bit bigger last week when a new developer, SeanRon, joined us. SeanRon knows the topic, as he was a professional developer and he played on a FOnline server as early as in 2009. With him, the coding process will be quicker and easier, as we had only one true developer - Amarok. I don't know and am not taking care of the code, so here we are finally with two real developers, plus me taking care of casual stuff and Kroktil on dialogs
Furthermore, we've got eye-candy for you! You already know Ashtown, of course (and if you don't, go read about it!), but we never showed the whole town and we don't want to do it yet. However, here is a quite important screenshot of the prison in the middle of the town. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Can you imagine yourself sneaking in the cells with a shovel or half a shotgun in your hands, hunting for zombies and at the same time fearing to find one?

Looks nice, thanks for the update. And just because someone doesn't write scripts, it doesn't mean the person isn't "real developer". I don't know who made this jail, but it was a developer for sure.

"Developer" is technicaly related to code piss (programming). Here we use it for any "SD worker".
No doubt that Izual do a great job whatever the best title we should use
I love your map Izu, and hope to make them "alive" soon.

Nothing new on the table due to some IRL big changes concerning the coding staff (Damn! That's me!!).
But I should be up for SD in October/November with a more regular time allowed for our project. So I have good hope to have something to put under the Christmas Tree!.
Dont expect a beta, but some excellent news.
